Are you thinking about adding extra space at home, or would you like to change the existing layout? A well designed extension can transform the layout of your home and it needn't cost a fortune.
You don't need to add a large space to create a big impact, even a small extension can change the aspect of a room, bring in extra light or link two existing spaces. A modest extension can create the extra room that is needed to make your home work better for you.
Many extensions do not require planning permission because they are classed as a permitted development. At Homeland Building Services all our building work is carried out to comply with current building regulations.
We have added pictures of some of our recent work. If you would like to discuss the possibility of extending your home then please contact us for free advice and quotations.

Is your garage full of junk? Why not convert your garage into the extra living space you need? As vehicles / cars have grown in recent years, we now struggle to fit them into the garage, so the space becomes an oversized storage area!
Garage conversions are a cost effective way to increase your living area, without adding an extension and eating into your outdoor space. Like any good quality home improvements, you are adding real value to your property. A garage conversion is a practical and afforadable way to improve your property, choosing how to utilise your new space is an exciting prospect!
Homeland Building Services have recently completed a garge conversion in the Alwoodley area of Leeds. The garage has been transformed from an integral garage into a Living room and bathroom. We also created an area to hold the boilier and electricity and gas facility metres, with just the right amount of storage space left over.
Attached are some of the in progress and finished bathroom pictures. If you are thinking about a similar project, the please contact us for a chat, we offer free quoatations.

If you're lucky enough to have an attic that is yet untouched, we say its time to make better use of it. Converting loft space can not only provide much needed extra space, whether it be an additional living area, home office or bedroom and bathroom, but when done well it can provide financial rewards should you ever sell or rent out your property.
Here are some pictures of a loft conversion we completed recently in Morley, Leeds. We turned a tired old stone terrace property from a dingy single bedroom house into a stylish two bedroom property. Bought as in investment property we have worked with the client to add instant value and increase the rental income of the property.
Why not transform your roof space from an impractical dumping ground into a lifestyle improvement and financial investment.

Homeland Building Services have been busy designing and building in Farsley over the last couple of weeks. Our clients had moved into a new build property with a great size garden, however not a very practical space.
The brief was to create a play area for their children and a low maintenance, practical space for the adults too. The pictures show a fun play area with a blackboard and quoits game and of course the playhouse, which was designed and built by Matt (wish I was a kid again)!
A decked area was added with raised beds included. These are yet to be planted up and will add colour and interest to the garden, as will the turf once this has been laid! We will nip back over the coming weeks and take some more pictures.
Homeland Building Services can create and build a garden to suit your own specific requirements. This particular garden shows how a standard new build garden can be transformed into the garden of your dreams for years to come!
Our clients were over the moon with their new garden!

Despite the testing weather conditions Homeland Building Services have 'ploughed' on and finished the first phase of a driveway and garden remodel. This particular driveway in Calverley is constructed with Yorkshire Stone Setts from Bingley.
We have created a functional space that is in keeping with its traditional surroundings but with a contemporary look. The Yorkshire Stone Setts complement the dry stone walling and reclaimed flags, while the curves and 'pretend' path give a modern look that can be replicated through the garden.
The driveway itself has enough room for three cars but the subtle curves make the area look a lot smaller, so that the area looks interesting and not like a small car park!
Another driveway we completed last year, also incorporated curves, with planting to soften the size and shape of the driveway. The end result is a large practical space whilst giving the property a WOW factor.

A few pictures from a recent log cabin designed and built by Homeland Building Services.
Our client asked for a bespoke log cabin to store tools and accessories for his 'super car' hobby. We also created a decked seating area to make the most of the garden space and the stunning views.
Log cabins can be designed and built to your specific requirements and have many uses, depending on what you desire. I think this design would make a great secret garden pub with its own beer garden. (Or am I just dreaming of summer)!
